Marc Greenberg, M.A.
Project Supervisor, Archaeologist
Mr. Greenberg is an Archaeologist specializing in Prehistoric Archaeology, with over twelve years experience in Cultural Resources Management. He is a member of the Register of Professional Archaeologists (2003-present); Society for American Archaeology (2003-present); Society for California Archaeology (2009); and Colorado Council of Professional Archaeologist (2005-2008). Marc has managed and conducted numerous projects in Northern and Central California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming. He earned his Master of Arts degree in Anthropology from California State University, Chico in 2003, and received an award for the Outstanding Thesis by the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. Among the many projects he has supervised are: record and information searches; prehistoric and historical context research and writing; small and large inventories; testing and data recovery of prehistoric and historic sites; and evaluating the eligibility for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places for prehistoric and historical sites. Marc has served in a supervisory capacity for over seven years, and in his role as a supervisor he has directed surveys and excavations, and trained new archaeologists in field methods, lab methods, research, and report writing. Marc has authored and coauthored over 30 reports including historical documentation, evaluations for eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places and the California Register of Historic Resources, survey, testing, and data recovery. He recently served as Crew Chief/Field Director for the Class III Inventory for the Ruby Pipeline, a 370-mile natural gas pipeline across northern Nevada, a project resulting in the discovery and recording of more than 1200 prehistoric and historical archaeological sites.
