Lisa A. Holm, Ph.D.

GIS, Project Archaeologist

Dr. Holm has been professionally active in archaeology for more than 16 years. She received her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006. She has considerable archaeological experience in Hawaii and throughout California. Lisa served as Laboratory Manager at the Archaeological Research Facility at UC Berkeley between 1996 and 1998. She specializes in geographic information system (GIS) analysis and she has developed a number of sophisticated GIS applications, including relational and GIS databases that integrate archaeological survey and excavation data collected in the Kahikinui District, Maui Island between 1966-2005. Lisa also has considerable editorial and graphic design experience, including pre-presswork for three academic monographs. Holm joined Pacific Legacy in 2006, and has supervised numerous small and large scale inventory projects throughout the state, authoring resulting inventory reports. She manages GPS data collection and GIS database applications in Pacific Legacy’s Berkeley office.
