Barbara Tejada, B.A.

Project Supervisor, Archaeologist

Barbara TejadaBarbara Tejada has specialized in Southern California archaeology for over eleven years, with experience covering coastal, inland, desert and mountain regions in both prehistoric and historic period archaeology. Barbara has extensive training and experience in National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance, as well as agency review and Native American consultation. Barbara’s specific research interests and expertise are in groundstone analysis, stone tool material characterization and public outreach and interpretation. Prior to joining Pacific Legacy, Barbara was the district archaeologist for California State Parks in the Los Angeles area (2007-2010), and an environmental planning archaeologist for Caltrans District 8 (San Bernardino; 2002-2007) and Caltrans District 7 (Los Angeles; 2000-2002).
